COMMUNITY COLLEGES IN CALIFORNIA
There are 116 community colleges in California offering programs from certificate programs to transfer to a four year college or university. The admissions requirement is for a student to have a high school diploma or be 18 years old.

You will need letter of recommendation for the following:

Request letter of recommendation minimum of a month prior to your application due date, but the earlier you ask, the better.
Remember that teachers who teach seniors and counselors get a lot of requests for letters of recommendation. Not to mention, a really good, thorough letter of recommendation for college is time consuming to write. Give them a fair heads up.
